Scope and ContentProperty valuation lists of Cork City (County Borough of Cork), under the General Valuation of Ireland. This series consists of several generations of rates valuation books maintained by rate collectors working for Cork City Council or its predecessor, the Grand Jury of the County of the City of Cork. Rates were collected under the General Valuation of Ireland, and collectors and local authorities made returns to the Valuation Office in Dublin. Valuation lists record occupiers and lessors (owners) of property, its extend, its valuation, and changes to any of the above. (For post 1930s Valuation Lists see CP/R/2006 accession).
