Scóp agus InneacharSmall collection of items, the first five relating to the history of St Colman's Cathedral, Cobh, Co. Cork. Includes an annotated scrapbook copy of St Colman's Cathedral history by J. Coleman with photographs and postcards attached. Also present are three 19th century views of Cobh and one 20th century photograph of the cunard liner Queen Elizabeth II. This collection reflects the main research interests of Dr. D.B. Buckley, president of Cork Historical & Archaeological Society (1969-70) and a native of Cobh. The second part of the collection is a small number of photographs of Dr D.B. Buckley, including his attendance as the first Irish representative at the international congress of dermatologists in Italy in 1972 (SM959/8). Also present is a photograph of Dr Buckley with members of the centenary council of Cork Historical and Archaeological Society in 1991 (SM959/9).
