Scóp agus InneacharCopy and digital copy of [unofficial] printed 1916 Irish Volunteer Certificate for Daniel Foley. It certifies that he was '...a Member of the Irish Volunteers D Company, Cork City Battalion, and was on Active Service on Easter Sunday, April 22nd, 1916, to achieve the Freedom of Ireland as an Independent Irish Republic'.
With MS signature '...on behalf of the Cork City Battalion by its sole surviving Batt. Officer', Séan Murphy, Vice -Commandant and Quarter-Master.
With Irish Volunteers crest and republican slogan.
Lists the Battalion Officers including Tomás MacCurtain, Terence MacSwiney, Sean O'Sullivan, Sean Murphy and Daithi de Barra.
Also lists all the officers and men for each of the 4 Companies of the Battalion (A, B, C, D) and the members of Na Fianna Éireann; such as Sean Scanlan, Captain A Company, Riobard Langford 2nd Lieutenant, C Company, Liam Rabbett, Adjutant, D Company. Printed by Lee Press.
