Charter issuing letters patent from Queen Victoria to William Viscount Midleton, granting the right to hold additional market fairs on the second Monday of January, February, April, May, July, August, September, October, November and December. Grants also the right to hold and keep a Court of Pye Powder, a form of jurisdiction over market disputes. Witnessed at Dublin, 28th day of September, in the 51st year of Victoria's reign. Stamped 3.10.87.
U74Add/1 (S) Black wax seal with seated figure of Queen Victoria, framed. Formerly attached to Charter U74A/1, framed by Midleton Estate Office prior to transfer to archives. Some details on the seal such as the face are indistinct due to previous handling.
