Refers to botanical notes on water lilies and poppies of Ireland. He often receives letters from the botanist Drummond, whom he visited at the Botanic Gardens in Cork many years ago. Refers to various plants, etc. (4pp) 2. 3 Mar 1856 As above. Thanks him for the seeds of the Oregon Pear, which would succeed well in England and Ireland. Wishes that an Oregon correspondent could send any seeds of the forest trees of that country.
