On your 57th day I greet you! I ask you to join with me, in the following prayer for our people suffering such persecution in the present crisis....' Oh My God, I offer my pain for Ireland. She is on the rack....grant...nerve and strength and grace to withstand the present terror in Ireland....I offer everything Thou askest for Ireland's resurrection...May we, in dying, bring glory to Thy Name and honour to our country....May the liberty of the Irish people shine with Thy glory.....Comrades, if we twelve go in glorious succession to the grave, the name of Ireland will flash in a tongue of flame through the world...a sign of hope...to all people struggling to be free...and God will at last redeem our country' ".
