Rental and Descriptive Particulars of fee simple estates and leasehold interests in dwelling houses and premises in the City of Cork. Abraham Thomas Chatterton, solicitor, has carriage of the sale, to take place at the Commissioners' court, No 14 Henrietta St, Dublin, on 1 Dec 1857.
The present copy of the schedule is marked in pen 'Thomas Barry, Solicitor, 7 Georges Quay, Cork'. The sale has been divided into 14 lots. Sketch maps of the properties, with present rental noting nature of tenancy, and particulars of the property, are given for each lot. Maps can cover more than one lot. Maps are by T Petty, lithographer, Cook St, Cork.
The premises concerned are on North Main St, Grand Parade/Tuckey St, Fishamble Lane [near Cork Courthouse], Corn Market St/Coal Quay, Grand Parade (including premises of the Cork Club, formerly Daly's Club), South Mall/Parliament St, and Patrick's St. The names of the purchasers of each lot, and amount paid, have been added in pen [by Thomas Barry].
NOTE: A distinct 'Rental and Particulars' of Lots 15 (lands at Mahon) and 16 (part interest in Cork Club) in this estate occurs among Encumbered Estates Court files. See online transcription here: http://www.igp-web.com/IGPArchives/ire/cork/land/cork-est039.txt. See 'Allied Materials'.
