Ámbito de contenidoRecords (including copy records) relating to cemeteries owned and maintained by Cork County Council. The series consists primarily of burial registers. It should be noted that the majority of registers remain in the possession of cemetery registrars/caretakers, under County Council supervision.
Most registers record information in the following columns: number of entry, Christian and Surname (of deceased), age, sex, religious persuasion, Occupation or Rank in Life, Condition (eg, married, single, child), Last Place of Residence, date of death, date of interment, section of ground, Grave No and Latitude, Amount of Burial Fee Paid (usually left blank), Signature and Residence of the Person having Management of the Interment, signature of registrar, and Observations (usually blank).
