Scope and ContentNotebooks, journals, letters, diaries, books and papers of Seamus Breathnach (James Walsh) of Kinsale. The collection includes 82 journals or notebooks mostly written in the 1920's and '30s containing local (Kinsale and surrounding districts) traditions and stories as well as historical research. Diaries from the same period. Letters from his involvement with the Gaelic League,Irish Volunteers, Sinn Fein and later his time in the National Army during the Civil War. Also includes a collection of over 70 books or published items.
