Scope and ContentTwo minute books of Weaver Point Swimming Club, 1932-38; 1938-48, 1957. The books record monthly committee meetings and annual general meetings. Lists of members are given in index pages at front of volumes. The books contain copies of programmes and newscuttings regarding club events such as the annual gala, and some notes and letters. Some of these insertions have been attached to the volumes while others are loose. All have been left in their given location apart from the photographs, noted below.
SM692/1 Minute Book, 31 Aug 1934-12 May 1938. Committee minutes are followed by minutes of annual general meetings, 1933 (the first) to 1937 (the fifth), and minutes of the inaugural general meeting of 19 Sep 1932.
SM692/2 Minute Book, 19 May 1938-11 Jul 1948, 16 Apr 1957. Annual and Committee meetings are recorded in sequence. There are no meetings recorded between those of July 1948 and April 1957, at which it was agreed to sell the pavilion and that remaining funds be applied to a memorial to the club in the local church.
