Scope and ContentTreasurer’s record of receipts and payments. Noted on the credit (left) side are the date and particulars of receipts, and the amount as lodged in the ‘Ordinary Account’. Most receipts are ‘To Balance’ or brought forward. Noted on the debit (right) side are the date and particulars of payments, number of order, and the amount paid from the ordinary account. In addition to suppliers, payments appear to be made to officers and staff, and to others, such as the Cork District Council and the Cork Examiner newspaper.
