Form und Inhalt(19 Nov 1776) Copy of letter from various named O'Mahony's, (Including Cornelius, Kean, Elizabeth, Mary, Ellinor) being nephews and nieces and heirs of the late Lieutenant Colonel Cornelius O'Mahony, deceased in the Spanish Service, have received from Count O'Mahony Ambassador from the Court of Spain to that of Vienna, by the hands of Master French Esq. Merchant in Cork, the sum of 90 pounds sterling inheritance, and acknowledge this as well as other sums received previously.
(18 Apr 1777) Letter from Jerry McCrohan, [butter dealer / merchant / shipping agent], Cork, to 'Dear Sir', Maurice Connell Esq., Tralee. Refers to the people referred to in the copy of the 1776 letter (above). Also refers to 24 firkins of butter which he is sending with a weighhouse note, notes poor price for the butter. He was obliged to ship 200 firkins on different vessels for England and he has a further 200 on hand. Refers to safe arrival of Captain [Ressis] with the remainder of that cargo which remained in [?Dunkerg] [Dunkirk]. He is thinking Mr Kean Mahony will find a bad account of his butter which he left with Mr Taylor and is still unsold. Etc.
