1. Gunning family tree [from Richard b1587 came to Ireland in reign of James I, to 1960s. Mainly Roscommon/Westmeath area. Intermarried families include Hodson, Sproule, and Lawder. Includes Elizabeth Gunning, 1734-90, who married successively James, Duke of Hamilton, and John, Duke of Argyle, 'Mother of 4 Dukes'].
2. Abbott family tree [from Daniel, Henry, and John, granted land in 1666, to 1960s, over two sheets joined, the left sheet covering family in counties Cork and Kerry. Includes the intermarried Kingsmill family of Co Limerick. Also present is a note, evidently referring to this pedigree, stating that it was sent to Richard Abbott in Portlaoise].
3. Hodson, origins of the name from various sources, eg, 'Surtees, Hodgson of Habborne-on-Tyne'. Mainly from 13th to 17th century. Notes initialled TWH.
4. Hodson [portion of] family tree [from Athlone in 1714 . Last entry is the marriage of Mary Gunning to Samuel Abbott. Mary was the daughter of Elizabeth Hodson and Rev Alexander Gunning of Galway (d circa 1824)]. Typescript and ms.
5. Record of Sproule family descendants of Capt John who purchased Longfield Castle, Co Roscommon in 1669. [dating back to 13th century, forward to 1960s]. Copy also present.
6. Pedigree of Fair [marked 'worksheet' and 'cousins Gunning']. By C Layng, 2 Feb 1962. [The family came to Ireland with William III in 1690 and settled in Co Mayo].
