2. 4 Oct [?1851] MS. letter from Anna Maria Hall, Belgravia, 21 Ashley Place, Victoria Street, to Richard Dowden. She will not enter into subject of free or paid nursing. As a testimonial Miss (Florence) Nightingale would only accept a means of establishing her nursing system which would allow a supply of well educated faithful nurses, 'and women would have a new calling - one perfectly in Keeping with their nature and capabilities...'. Asks for funds unconditionally. (4pp)
