Form und InhaltMS. letter from Volunteer Joseph O'Sullivan, Wandsworth Prison, London to 'My Dearest Father', opening 'I feel that I ought not to leave this earth without writing you a fond and happy fairwell'. He refers to Christ, his dead mother, and to a letter received from Sister Mary Raphael. He also mentions a petition seeking a reprieve. He refers to the Sisters at Gordon Square and Macklin St, thanking them 'for their solicitations on behalf of Reg and myself'. He also sends wishes to his brothers and sisters, and their families. (The letter is incomplete, and there is no signature. It may be an early copy).
