Scope and ContentFirst part of book is an attendance register, in Irish, for the Shandon, Cork, Branch of Cumann na mBan, "Craobh an tSeandúna de Chumann na mBan" dated 27 Jan 1918.
This gives the names of officers including president Bean Ní Donabháin, honorary treasurer Báirbre Ní Cuagháin, honorary secretary Bealtaine Ní Condeilbháin, and 5 'Comhaltas' officers comprising Sinéad Ní Mhaoláin, Christine Barry, Nora McCarthy, Catherine Tuohy and Kathleen Crowley.
Then this part of the book continues for 5 pages with a partial tabulated record in Irish of the attendance of 18 branch members at weekly meetings, including the officials above and also including members Lil Ní Condealbháin ( Lil Conlon ), Eilís O'Sullivan, Eileen McGee, and other names such as Murphy, Crowley, O'Keeffe, and also a 'Miss Savage' listed in English. The attendance record spans February to April 1918, the second page of this has some additional names including Farrell, Kelleher/Keller, Mary McGee, Nash, and others.
Next is a separate section, again in Irish dated 1920 with the names of Members and names of streets/locations, possibly in connection with street fundraising/collections for Republican causes. Locations listed include, such as, Blarney Street, Douglas, Bishopstown, Crawford Street, Sundays Well, etc.
