Etendue et contenuBegins with the text of a poem entitled 'The Harp Awake to patriotism in the glorious cause of Repeal, Tunes in rapturous notes to the distinguished name of Charles Bianconi (in the Way of acrostic)'.
'Charmed with his conduct Ireland must admire / His Working Soul - his spirit to aspire!/ As with Enolbl'd Mind, and soul elate / Resollv'd tp rise- he earned his glorious fate! ..../On letter'd press-impressed the Patriot's Name... / In bright Bianconi Wed Cadmus praise' etc.
Requests that, for the 'patriotic stanzas' within, '....the Muses would pre-eminently place the universally esteemed and patriotic Charles Bianconi in the extensive leger (on the cr. side) of the Irish Genealogist...'.
Notes 'The work in progress will contain 400 pages, Octavo, each copy extra bound 10s...'.
Ends with a further poem in 5 verses- 'The Bard has got so rich perchance / He must his consequence advance / And puff his proud cigar / He scorns the thought to "trudge" a mile / Clip a short cut or step a stile / Behold him on your car!!'. (V.1) ... 'To travel still by either road / Bianconi's the safest Mode- / The cheapest mode by far / Then grant the Connaught Bard a Pass...'. (V4)
Also note at end of page 3, 'I know Mr. Burke and deem him worthy of Mr. Bianconi's kind attention', signed William Fahy, Abbey Convent, Youghal.
