Scope and ContentPromotional brochure reprinted in 1974 by Cork Victoria Hospital. Includes photographs of Cork landmarks and tourist destinations, and members of the various committees involved in the ‘Wonderland’ bazaar held in 1896.
'Wonderland' was a fundraising initiative organised in response to the serious financial position of the County and City of Cork Hospital for Women and Children (renamed the Victoria Hospital for Women and Children in 1901). Wonderland raised £1,654 for the hospital which nearly liquidated its bank overdraft.
The brochure also includes numerous advertisements for businesses in the city, and an article on the County and City of Cork Hospital for Women and Children.
