Scope and ContentAccount of labour in Public Health Department of Cork Corporation, now Cork City Council. Each folio presents a list of wages paid to corporation employees for a given week. Information recorded includes name of employee, day of the week worked, total days worked, wage rate per day, and gross wages. Also present are summaries of costs associated with the Sanitary Fund and Borough Fund. The sanitary fund includes total spend for domestic scavenging (cleansing), public closets (public toilets), driving motor ambulance, and disinfecting costs. The borough fund includes total spends for Eglinton Street Baths staff attendants (names not persent), Weir Baths staff attendants (not named), and cost of repairs to the individual baths. A small number of letters are enclosed in the volumes.
