Copy of letter from Donal O'Callaghan, Athlone, to The Editor 'Cork Examiner', renouncing an inaccurate report in the paper that he was present at the Free State luncheon at the Victoria Hotel, Cork on 8 September. States that 'the civic functions of that date were, to me, merely an outrage on Cork's Republican past. I strongly resent it. Be good enough to contradict it.'
