Niece of trade unionist, Cork city local Councillor, GAA, and IRA and Sinn Fein leader, Tadhg Barry (d1921).
Mollie was born at 54 Blarney Street, Cork, later living in Tralee Co. Kerry and Limerick City.
Received Service Medal 1917-1921 for membership of the Irish Citizen Army and service in Cumann na mBan under the1st Cork Brigade IRA.
