Scope and ContentTypescript report or summary of agreement reached between pro-treaty TDs and anti-treaty TDs following a meeting on 4 January 1922 at deputy Sean T. O'Kelly's home. This agreement proposes the president, Eamon de Valera, abstain from voting against the treaty. Also present is a summary of adjournments of Dail Eireann and discussions between anti-Treaty TDs and the president who rejected the agreement. These latter notes cover the dates 5 and 6 of January 1922. Meetings held in attempt to prevent split in party and preserve de Valera's position as president. Anti-Treaty TDs at meeting: Sean T. O'Kelly, Liam Mellows, P. Ruttledge, Art O'Connor, and Sean Moylan. Pro-Treaty TDs at meeting: P. Hogan, J McGuinness, M. Hayes, and Eoin O'Duffy.
