Scope and ContentWorkmens wages account book with workmens weekly wages for the building of Ballyedmond House, near Midleton including carpenters, masons, 'orangy stuccoman', stone cutters, slater, glaziers, painters, quarrymen. Records name, weekly attendance, days worked, total value of the weeks work. Carpenters include John Hunt, James Nagle, Edmond Barry, Thomas Gibbons, Pat Walsh, paid from 12s to 19s6d per week. Masons include James Murray, James Chanley, John Hogan, Daniel Murphy, James Hyde, Charles Green, John Linnahan, paid from 16s3d to 19s.6d per week. The wage book was printed by J.Cronin, Bookseller and Stationer, Grand Parade, Cork.
Also 3 enclosures: 1. account for slators work done for Robert Courtenay Esq, Jan 1811 at Curra total 18s.10d for 4 workmen under Maurice Hurley. 2. 8 days work by 4 workmen signed Thomas Murray, Jan 1811 at Curra 3. account of work by 5 masons at Curra signed William Murray Feb. 1811.
