Scope and ContentMinutes of the Crosshaven Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Minutes record matters discussed, resolutions made, and the names of those admitted to membership. Names of presiding officers and attendance are sometimes noted. Minutes of ordinary and special meetings and of the general committee are included. A vigilance committee oversaw admissions. An Arbitration Committee considered disputed matters. Poor attendance, arrears of subscription, and dealings with the County and National Boards are recurring subjects. Members came from Crosshaven and from Carrigaline and surrounding areas. At the back of the book occur a number of unrelated shop customer accounts.

28 Jan 1910 reported that the general secretary had issued rules and the number of the Division as 687 [which suggests the division had come into being very recently]. The first president of the division was Rural District Councillor Jeremiah Aherne and the first secretary was Charles Cogan.
18 May 1910 discussion as to getting 'as many members as possible of the right sort', and presentation of an address 'to Messrs Redmond, Dillon & Devlin'.
1 Jul 1910 hope expressed that Bro Punch's AOH connections 'would be the means of procuring satisfactory employment for him in the U. States'
7 Oct 1910 discussion of Bro Griffin's dismissal as stationmaster, seemingly owing to 'his connection with our great fraternal Brotherhood'.
29 Jun 1911 President sent as representative to AOH Convention in Dublin, which is to discuss the Insurance Bill.
12 May 1912 meeting to reorganise the division (names of those present recorded)
2Sep 1912 discussion of 'the great dearth of employment' and getting men from the locality 'taken on at Haulbowline'.
13 Oct 1912 deputation appointed to wait on the parish priest regarding introduction of a religious order into the parish.
3 Mar 1913 reported that the division president had been suspended by the County President; resolved that the secretary be asked to resign
7 Apr 1913 Division's support expressed for Bro Cogan for the post of clerk of works for Kinsale RDC.
16 Nov 1913 Special meeting with J Ronayne, county organiser, accompanied by RH Geary, from a Cork branch of the United Irish League. Ronayne proposes weekly meetings, the formation of a history class, and the wearing of ribbon badges from St Marie of the Isles Convent.
29 Apr 1914 special meeting to consider the withdrawal of Bro Kennefick from District Council election 'at the request of some prominent members of the Order in Cork', in favour of J Aherne [expelled ex-president of Crosshaven division]
24 Jun 1914 special meeting for arranging a corps of National Volunteers in the district.
7 Dec 1914 annual meeting, ongoing discussion over contested readmission of a former member, and whether the division is now a new one.
25 Apr 1915 special meeting attended by County President to investigate charges against division president.
