Address/Letter from Presidents etc. of the Cuvierian Society to his excellency George William, Earl of Clarendon, Lord Lieutenant General and General Governor of Ireland, advocating advancements in agricultural, horticultural, and arboricultural practices based on sound botanical knowledge, through establishment of a botanical garden in Cork, and requesting funds to same. Includes mention of 'Coffee at half past nine o'clock...', ballots and public business at eight o'clock, lecture on 'The Nature and origin of coal by Professor Hackings...' , appointment of officers, essay on popular climatology by Richard Dowden, etc. (7 items)
