Scope and Content'Labourers Cottages for Ireland', pamphlet by Francis Joseph Bigger, MRIA of Ardrigh, Belfast. Printed by Independent Newspapers Ltd, Dublin, 12 April 1907. A preface explains that the designs and article contained were submitted by Bigger at the request of the newspaper, on foot of correspondence arising out of the publication of prize winning plans in the Local Government Competition for Designs of Labourers' Cottages, published on 2 April 1907.
The pamphlet contains plans and description of possible designs for labourers cottages including 2, 3 and 4 roomed versions. In his article, Bigger criticises 'the patent defects' in the designs awarded prizes by the Local Government Board.
