SM713/1 Photograph showing group of 30 men, who rebuilt Collins Barracks, Cork in 1923-24 following the conclusion of the Civil War. Entitled 'Rebuilding Micheál Barracks 25-2-24' [Collins Barracks Cork, formerly Victoria Barracks, was originally renamed 'Micheál Barracks'];
SM713/2 Newsclip [possibly from Evening Echo], reproduces the photo and names those present including builder Robert Mahoney, general Foreman John Lillis, foreman plasterer John Moore, foreman carpenter Myles O'Neill, painters, plasterers, carpenters, masons C.Murphy, D.Falvey and D.Nason, and labourers. The article notes that 'It shows many who were then, or soon became, some of the leading tradesmen in the city'.
