SM702/1, Illuminated address to John Walsh Esquire, upon his resignation as Buyer for Messrs. Thomas Lyons and Company Limited, Cork, following 17 years service and his appointment as Repesentative for Ireland of Messrs. M. Bottomley Junior and Company, Bradford, England. The address originally accompanied a service of silver plate also presented to Walsh as a mark of his colleagues' esteem. Signed on behalf of the subscribers, Chairman John Murray and Secretary [Thomas D. Pym]. The address is richly decorated and was completed by John Gilbert, Cork (1873).
