Scope and ContentReport of Proceedings of the Unionist Convention for Provinces of Leinster, Munster, and Connaught, June 1892 (Dublin, Hodges Figgis [1892]). 'Report of proceedings, lists of committees, delegates, etc.'. Held at Leinster Hall, Dublin.
Contents include; Introduction, mentioning the Council and Committee of the Irish Unionist Alliance; List of Convention's Executive Committee and General Committee including Cork people such as R.E. Longfield of Mallow, Alderman J.Harley Scott (High Sheriff of Cork), the Earl of Bandon and other members of the Anglo-Irish establishment; List of Delegates Attending Convention by County/City including c.70 for Cork City and c.200 for County Cork; Protest and Declaration Adopted by Convention giving the reasons for opposition to an Irish Parliament; Reports of Proceedings with text of speeches, from Hall No.1, chaired by The Right Hon. the Earl of Fingall , and from Hall No.2, chaired by Mr. Thomas Plunkett Cairnes, J.P. Director of the Bank of Ireland; Some letters of apology for non-attendance, including from the Duke of Devonshire and W.H.Lecky; Telegrams of support from various Unionist organisations in Ireland and Britain. Also includes photographic portraits of some senior figures and speakers including Sir Thomas Butler, Bart., Chairman of Executive Committee, Hon. Horace Plunkett, (pp114-127 are missing).
