Scope and ContentCopy legal document; Letters Patent Queen Victoria, estate of Mary Hartnett, County of Cork. Copy by Charles Ashe Solicitor, Dublin and Macroom. Concerns estate of Mary Hartnett, spinster, late of Hanover Hall, near Macroom, County Cork, who died 19 June 1865, intestate, in posession of various lands including Knockrour, Shanakiel, Derryroe/Lahairn, Kilberrihert, Ughtiherry and land in the parish of Aghabullogue, totalling over 2300 acres. Schedule enclosed (1p) of 31 year leases issued in 1869, listing lands/ townlands, giving tenant's names, total acreage of over 2300 acres, and total yearly rents of over £1300. The letters patent recite mesures to administer the intestate's estate, and confirm agreements made by the Crown with the administrator of the estate and others for the sale and grant of interests in the estate, to various persons, subject to trusts. Signed by Earl Spencer, Lord Lieutenant of Ireland.
