Scope and ContentPedigree/Family Tree of Attiwell Hayes Esq., Brewer, Grenville Place, Cork (d 27 Apr 1798). Researched and compiled by local historian Michael O'Leary, Cork. It traces the children and later descendants of Hayes.

Attiwell Hayes is noted to be a member of the St.Peter's Vestry in North Main Street, a member of the Cork piped water committee in 1778, and a Freeman of Cork in 1761. He married Mary Catherine Browne of Curraghconway (d1785). Relations and descendant names include Smyth, McCarthy, Keating, Fleming, Allen, Shaw, Burnett, Chapman and others. Hayes' son, Sir Henry Browne Hayes of Vernon Mount (b1761-d1832), was transported to New South Wales for the abduction of Mary Pike in 1801, and was buried in the family vault at Christchurch, South Main Street, Cork.
