Scope and ContentResolutions passed at a meeting of Youghal Confederate Club. Firstly to 'deliberately adopt the principles in the speeches of Smith O'Brien and Thomas F. Meagher Esqrs. delivered in the Music Hall, Dublin on the 15th Inst. and now the subject of prosecution by the English Masters of the Irish people'. Secondly, thanks to John Mitchel for his invaluable services to his country and especially for the publication in the 'United Irishman' of articles entitled 'Striking Terror' and 'The French Fashion' and the published letter addressed to 'Her Majesty's Executioner general and General Butcher of Ireland. Thirdly that copies of the foregoing resolutions by sent to the Secretary of the Irish Confederation and to Mr. Mitchel. Signed by Jeremiah Hodnett [Vice President] and John O'Brien, Secretary.
