Scope and Content1. 30 April 1781 From [Denroaches Thompson], [Merchant/Shipping Agent], 'Invoice of 7 Casks bottled Claret shiped on board the Free Trade of Cork Paul Sappie Mr. for New York, for his Excellency General Robertson, Governor of New York, by order of Robert Gordon Esq. and Consigned to Capt. Thomas Murray'. The casks contain 44 dozen choice claret at 23/ per dozen, total of £50.12.0. Additional charges total £11.13.6 including; 14 dozen bottles and corks, straw lackening and packing, brandy to rim the bottles, cooperage, permit and certificate, carriage portering and shipping, boat hire to Cove, manifest in boat to see if safely on board. Also freight of £11.18.10, and Commission of two and a half percent. (1p)
2. 25 March 1768 'A Return of the Produce of the Revenue of the Port of Cork for Seven Years Ended the 25 of March 1768'. With totals for the years 1762 - 1768 and for Customs charges, appropriated duties, fines and seizures, salaries and incident charges, net revenue deducting Salaries and incidents. Total of over £669,368 in net revenue recorded. (1f)
