Etendue et contenuMS. note book of Robert Bennet, Recorder of Cork, 9 Charlotte Quay. Contains notes relating to court cases tried by Bennett at the Assizes between 25 March 1841 - 15 December 1842 and civil bill cases between 19 Mar 1842 - 7 Feb 1843. Notes are organised by date of hearing and title of case. The notes contain details of hearings, plantiffs and defendants, nature of charges, witness testimonies, legal arguments, fines, financial costs, receipt of case bills, affidavitts and other documents, verdicts and judgements handed down. Cases concern a variety of issues, mainly property and financial disputes, non-payment of debts, claims for damages, administration of wills, rent disputes.
