''Originally intended as a record of offerings at stations held at Easter 1843, the pages were subsequently ruled vertically to provide for the years 1844 to 1853' [from note accompanying the ms copy by Cork County Library]. It is noted that in the original the entries for 1843 were made in ink, with later entries made in pencil, but not readily dateable. Alterations or additions post-1843 are underlined and crossings-out are marked with an asterisk. The amount of the offerings has not been recorded.
