Scope and ContentMS. 'Copy of the Survey of the Town Walls', by Jehosaphat Huleatt, Overseer of Public Works. 'An exact return as possible I could make of the Town Walls of the Citty of Cork August 8th 1733'. Contemporary copy giving written details of properties encroaching on the Cork City wall, such as the following:
'North Gate, 76 feet 6 inches'; 'James Dennis and father to the front of their yard, 229 feet'; 'Alderman Cramer the whole built upon on the river side with a slip and gate the wall standing, 90 feet'; 'Widow Riggs a large door with a window through the wall, 44 feet'; 'Peters Church steeple on the wall, 20 feet 9 inches'.
In total about 100 properties and property owners listed. (Note: textual information only, there is no map or drawing attached). Access photocopy also present.
