Etendue et contenuMinute Book recording meetings of the Passage West Vocational Education Sub-Committee (Technical Sub-Committee 1926-29). Meetings were generally held at least once a year, with more meetings in some years. The head master of the school often attended at meetings, to present the annual report, or to discuss enrollment or examination results. Other matters, eg, new classes, were also discussed. From January 1975 the committee met as the Board of Management.
There are gaps in the minutes for 1930, 1934-46, and 1973-74 [when possibly no meetings were held]. Newscuttings of reports of some meetings have been inserted in the volume. Also present at the front of the volume are two letters, dated 28 Sep 1945 and 23 Jan 1951, from the County Cork VEC noting that the persons named have been approved to act on the Passage West sub-committee.
Includes (for example):
29 Sep 1926 Fr T McCarthy PP appointed chairman pro tem. Agreed that introductory course will commence 1 Dec next. Formal opening of school to be performed by Rev Canon Coholan, chairman of the County Technical Committee. 'Instruction suited to girls' discussed.
