Scope and ContentBundle of photographs, two relating to the Cork Exhibition 1883:
1. Photograph thought to show the official opening of the Cork Industrial Exhibition 1883. Taken within large iron-roofed building with a crowd gathered in front of a stage holding an organ, orchestra, conductor and male/female choir. Dignitaries visible include the Mayor of Cork and [Earl of Bandon]. Military dress uniform in evidence. City Mace visible on table. 28cmX23cm
2. Negative image of above, 7cmX5cm ['Agfa']
3.-6. Small b/w photos of a dish and bowl from the Mansion House collection at Cork Museum (two photos of each). 12cmX8cm. [with envelope with note referring to Mansion House ware. Items 2-13 placed in this envelope].
7. Small b/w photo 'End of Sheares' Street below the Mercy Hospital - at corner of Prospect Row - near the Mardyke - before these houses were demolished'. Same size.
8. Small b/w photo, ruined [farm] house among trees [unidentified]. Same size.
9.-13. Four negatives of photos featuring cars. Two appear to be copies, showing a car in a garage, and include two people. Another shows a different car from the side [no people], and the last shows a front view of a car with two people inside. The registration plate on the last suggests the vehicle was registered in March 1931.
