Scope and ContentPhotograph album compiled by Constance Croker of Byblox, Doneraile, Co Cork during the years 1904-1908 when Constance was a young woman. Contains ninety three photographs of the Croker family of Lissa and Byblox, Doneraile, their friends, relatives, pet dogs, horses, Byblox and Lissa (including interiors and gardens), and the Awbeg river. Some prints seem to be earlier in date, possibly taken prior to 1877 when Charles and Martin Croker of Lissa were still alive [eg, SM611/1, 3]. Many of the photographs have captions. Included are some photographs of Constance's wedding (she married Kenneth Weldon in 1906). Weldon appears in some of the photographs as do Jane, Martha and Charles Croker, Constance's mother and grandparents. The album is an important source for Croker and Crone family history, Doneraile local history, and Big House life in late Victorian and Edwardian Ireland.
