Scope and ContentMixed printed items, including prospectus, christmas cards, leaflets, and photographs, promoting St Ann's Hydro. The items are generally undated but seem to be from the early 1930s. Included are the following:
SM100/1 is a prospectus, outlining the history of the Hydro, its medical treatments, terms (charges), and general arrangements (meal times, services). Included are photographs of the exterior, lounge, dining room, the nearby Muskerry golf course, and the Shournagh river. 12pp
SM100/2 is described as a 'Tariff Souvenir', and contains similar information and photographs, as well as tourist notes on Blarney and vicinity, and many advertisements. 32pp
SM100/3 is a leaflet on the Medical Department, summarising the treatments and services available, and naming the departmental staff. 4pp
SM100/4 is a card leaflet setting out tariffs and charges for residents and non-residents, and outlining leisure activities and contact details. 4pp
SM100/5 is a greetings card for Christmas and New Year from the management of the Hydro. Two cards are present, one containing a verse beginning 'It's Blarney for Christmas you really desire'. Both have a photo of the Hydro's exterior. Neither is signed.
SM100/6 consists of five copies of a map 'Main Roads Leading to St Ann's Hill Hydro', 1 inch to 1 mile. Railway lines also shown.
SM100/7 is a photograph of the exterior of the Hydro, showing almost its complete frontage, mounted on card. 27cmX8.5cm
