Scope and ContentPhotograph of streetscape taken at junction of St. Patrick's Quay and Bridge Street, Cork, facing southwest, with the north side of St. Patrick's Bridge in the foreground and Lavitt's Quay and Coal Quay in the background. St.Patrick's bridge is busy with people. Visible on Lavitt's Quay is the Booth and Fox feather merchants, mattress and quilt manufactory, with a tall chimney. The Athenaeum/Cork Opera House is in the centre of the photo. Also visible are large telegraph poles, gas lamps, cobbled pavements.
